Just a study sketch for a painting I'm working on.For those wanting a extra-specially good reason why a Norse god has gone steampunk...I really don't have one.
I blame ~RattytheDevilDog , ~DuyuVoodoo and a Weekend at the Asylum. Especially ~DuyuVoodoo , actually, for making comments to me in Dr Geof's shop.

You've even got the scars on his lips from when the dwarves stitched his mouth shut! Marvel seemed to miss that aspect... Oh well! This is lovely!

He's got a very intense stare, and I'm in love with his hair.
Just one little thing: men usually tend to have thicker eyebrows. He's lovely as he is, but i couldn't help but notice

I have no idea why he has such sculpted brows. He just turned out that way. I'll have to go have a look at the painted version I did to see if I thickened them up at all...

I really love his hair. It's all flowing and dramatic

On one side the hair is just hair: on the other side, in the final painting , it turned into flames.
I love drawing hair and fur. The flow of it is fascinating.
