The incident with the wizard wielding the Wand of Tickling, however, marked a turning point. Grunthar, once the uncontested predator of his domain, found himself completely incapacitated, a laughingstock at the mercy of a foe he couldn't fight. The wizard left with a part of Grunthar's hoard, but more importantly, he took with him Grunthar's sense of invulnerability. Since then, Grunthar has developed a cautious approach towards humans, attacking swiftly before they have the chance to humiliate him further. Yet, the incident also ignited a spark of curiosity about the magic and the world beyond his forest—a world he fears but is inexplicably drawn to.
