Description Name: Grunthar Wildroot

Race: Cave Troll

Class: Berserker

Personality:
Grunthar embodies the essence of the wilderness in which he dwellsβ€”wild, unpredictable, and solitary. He harbors a deep-seated fear of wizards, particularly those wielding wands, stemming from a humiliating encounter that left him wary of magic and its practitioners. This fear is rivaled only by his hunger for the occasional unwary traveler, revealing a primal aspect of his nature. Grunthar rarely speaks, and when he does, his words are as rough and unrefined as his appearance. Despite his fearsome demeanor, there's an underlying sense of curiosity about the world beyond his forest, though he'd never admit it.

Skills:
Grunthar's primary skill lies in his sheer physical strength, able to wield makeshift weapons with devastating effect. His choice of a pine tree as a weapon speaks to his brute force and unconventional approach to combat. Living in the wilderness has honed his survival skills, making him adept at navigating dense forests, foraging for food, and remaining hidden from those he wishes to avoid. However, his size and lack of finesse make him clumsy in delicate situations, and his fear of magic leaves him vulnerable to arcane attacks.

Background:
Grunthar's life before the encounter with the wizard was one of simple, if brutal, harmony with the wilderness. His cave, nestled in a secluded part of the forest, was both home and fortress, filled with trinkets and treasures scavenged from the unfortunate souls who wandered too deep into his territory. The incident with the wizard wielding the Wand of Tickling, however, marked a turning point. Grunthar, once the uncontested predator of his domain, found himself completely incapacitated, a laughingstock at the mercy of a foe he couldn't fight. The wizard left with a part of Grunthar's hoard, but more importantly, he took with him Grunthar's sense of invulnerability. Since then, Grunthar has developed a cautious approach towards humans, attacking swiftly before they have the chance to humiliate him further. Yet, the incident also ignited a spark of curiosity about the magic and the world beyond his forestβ€”a world he fears but is inexplicably drawn to.
