One day thought that I could do some Les Misérables art. It ended to this and this is absolutely not Les Mis art!Wicked is one of my favourite musicals. And because of my favourite actress Gina Beck is joing the London cast of Wicked in December I will go to London to see this amazing musical next summer. I would to anything to see Gina!
I was also thinking of absolutely great Finnish cast of Wicked (I feel so sorry that the Finnish production has closed. It was awesome!). None of the characters is based by the Finnish cast but when I drew Dorothy I was thinkg of Saara Aalto, Dorthy in Wicked in Finland (she is also absolutely great singer, her album is AWESOME!).
It was great fun to do this. I got to draw great characters of Wicked. This is also the first time I draw Dr. Dillamond, Boq and Frexpar.
If you can't recognize the cahracters are Nessarose, the Wizard, Frexpar, Dr. Dillamond, Dorothy, Boq as tinman, Madame Morrible, Fiyero, Elphaba and Glinda.

He is father of Nessarose and Elphaba. He is only seen in the beginning of the show when they tell about Elphaba's childhood and when Elphaba and Nessarose come to Shiz. He had a little bit larger role in the book.

"Shiz" is the English name for the university Glinda, Elphaba and company go.
He wasn't in "The Wizard of Oz", only in Wicked.

Wicked is actually based by this book called "Wicked - The life and times of Wicked Witch of the West". There are also three other books in the Wicked series "Son of a Witch", "A Lion Among Men" and "Out of Oz". I've read the first two books and I really liked them, but I prefer the musical.

Yes, Gelphie is canon in books but so is Fiyero/Elphaba.

Jotain tarinaa siitä, että miten tämä Les Misistä tähän päätyi, voisi olla avartavaa kuulla... XD Hieno kuva kokonaisuudessaan, hiukan ollut askartelemista noissa yksityiskohdissa - ja noidat näyttävät ihanilta!

Ajatus piirtää jotain Les Misiin liittyvää muuttui ilman että tajusin mitään tähän. Minulla on hämärä käsitys, että mietin pidemmän aikaa mitä ihmetta piirtäisin, kunnes yllättäen Glinda ja Elphaba olivat ilmestyneet paperille. En tiedä vielkään mitä tapahtui ja miksi. Tosin kyllä Les Mis tässäkin kuavssa seikkailee. Kun katson kuvaa takapuolelta, Velho muistuttaa erehdyttävästi erästä JVJtä.
