New version:This picture is based on a recently released photo of Helsinki City Theatre's upcoming production of Wicked.
First non-replica show in the world gets premiered practically at my doorstep next autumn. Man, I'm so happy (I could melt) - and I'm so seeing it in the premiere.
The picture came out about two or three times more Glinda/Elphaba as I intended it to. I like to think they're just best friends, but I still like the picture quite a lot.
But do you? Drop me a little critique! And if you can't use the critique tool (what's with that anyway, you can't have well-formed opinions if you don't pay?) but want to write one, just send it as a comment.
Are pictures done with watercolour pencils drawings or paintings, by the way? I'm not sure.
Wicked belongs to a whole bunch of boys and girls that I'm not a part of.'

Glinda looks so beautiful. It reminds me of a character I've seen before, but can't quite place..

Really like the colours here - u textured and mixed them nicely. What I miss is lack of shadows - not dark ones, but some more would be nice. Now it looks a bit flat - lineart is good, but it can't show the depth (ex. the arm of the white girl - it could be a little round, upper part of her dress could be shaded, so it'd look like it's fitting her position - now it's flat...). Same thing with the hair. Lights in some certain places (and shades in other) would give them look of thick blonde curls.
And second thing - about the lineart. Try to make it a little bit slower, not by the first line. And not the second. Etc. Hope u get what I mean. Correct it as long as u need. If u need it - turn the sheet upside-down and look at it. It may sound ridiculous, but it works - when u look at the work from other angle than usuall, u can see what's wrong. The thing I'm about is again the white girl - her bull-like neck (that's also 'cause lack of shades to show the way the neck is twisted), elbow, too long forearm and too small hand. Try to get some practise with anatomy - not by drawing from photos/other works, but learn a bit about proportions and placing of bones/muscles. That's always useful
Generally - work is great, but I wanted to get into details, so the next ones would be even better ^^

I'm sorry, though, but I don't quite grasp what you mean by the slower lineart thing. Maybe you could try to explain it again?
I've actually tried the turning the picture upside down trick before, and you're right, sometimes it's really useful! Looking the picture through a mirror can be helpful too.

Lineart is a sinlge line, but did u make sketch before or did u just draw a line 'somewhere about it should be'?
If u did the sketch - then do it more carefully, correct it some more times before u draw a dark line of lineart over it.
I u didn't - do it. It will help u keep the proportions of whatever is on the pic.
Oh, and one more thing - white girl's nose looks like it has some hollow in it xD Or it was flattened. That's because of this upper line - there's nothing like that in human nose

Oh, they look spectacular. I love the perspective, and the colours make it seem as though Elphie's dragging Galinda into the so-called 'darkness'.
The confusifying thing about art is that your form can be practically whatever you want it to be -- drawing, or painting. xD

So, I see somebody's totally into Wicked shipping. 
Aw man! The coloring in this is so good! I especially like the the light hitting Elphaba's face and eyes. She looks like she could kick some major ass. And both their outfits are great, I really like the glitter and puffy sleeves of Glinda's dress.
Also, you raise a very good question about watercolor pencils. The world may never know...

Valaistaanpa sitten tietämättömälle: oikeasti noi on parhaat ystävät, mutta siitä saa hyvällä mielikuvituksella vaikka mitä romanssia aikaan. Oikean tarinan mukaan ne kuitenkin rakastaa samaa miestä.
