Thank you! Although by this point, I feel like I've cornered myself on time, so I might not use this sketch for a while. XD

Obvious improvements within your abilities, or just things you can see?

Little bit of both. Her proportions are a bit too tall for the character, and her hips could probably be adjusted to where the legs come out at a more natural angle.

Thank you! Hopefully it still retains those qualities after the digital version is done. :3

Very nice. I really ought to practice dynamic poses more, mine are always so static.

It's definitely fun to find references and practice replicating the shapes in them. A pretty useful video I found on just practicing it by itself without reference was this , though. It's not necessarily about dynamic poses, but it certainly helped me not be quite so afraid when trying to foreshorten things anymore....and it hasn't worked entirely yet, but it's melting the ice off of that fear.

Very cool. Well you will get good at it! I like Walcoms but my computer at home doesn't really work so i cant use it anymore because id have to buy a new program but when I use to use it I loved it! I'm glad you do too and I hope you get more time to experiment! Good luck!

Have you ever used Walcom? Or a tablet! I feel like that would be great for you, plus you dont have to pay for paints or canvas ^_^

I've had a tablet for a few years now, though I'm only recently (this year) actually using it and getting used to it. At the beginning of the year, I enrolled in a digital painting class as well, so I've been using some of the larger Wacom tablets at school, as well. On occasion, I've been allowed to take them home, as well....and that's usually when I go stream with it, since it handles better than the small one I already have.
But yeah, that's what I mean by "certain drawing tools". What I'm after is the Cintiq so that I can draw directly on what I'm looking at. To be honest, I've never really enjoyed using real paint, so when I mention the style, I mean using some of the painting style brushes in Clip Studio Paint or Photoshop. Or Paint Tool SAI, but I feel like CSP is better.

This shows great action, the face is nice, have you ever considered coloring this in? Great job!

Thank you! It's certainly on the backpile of sketches I intend to complete after this week and on into the summer. I might be waiting until certain drawing tools become more readily available, though, just so that I can give it the attention it deserves. I wanna practice coloring more things in general before I get back to this one. It seems like it would also be a cool one to do a sort of brush stroke-y, painting style with, as well.

Thanks! I totally winged it with trying the foreshortening on the knife, so I'll have to check it in Clip Studio Paint later with that perspective grid thing.

Thanks! If you look closely, you can see all the times I tried to change it...XD
I still might end up doing something else with the right arm at the top, there, but digitally. :>
