Description Made this for a mod a while ago during the summer. Its reasonably high poly standing at 6000 polys with 2x2048 texture sheets for metal and wood areas.

I love that gun! But trying to AIM that thing is gonna be pretty hard!

Thx TDManiac, it's not that difficult to aim - from the render its difficult to tell due to the angle and lighting, but the sight is aligned to the left hand side of the barrel rather than in the centre like most weapons.

I was just wondering about that.  So the clip is just far enough to the right to not get in the way of the sights?

High poly? 6000 is really Low Poly

My cornershot has:

Poly: 20.030
Verts: 19.646

but its a verry nice model good job

In terms of game modding 6000 is seen as reasonably high, crysis is one of the few games that can handle ultra high poly models at the moment. Thanks for the comment .

Counterstrike Source or just Source games can handle 20.000 poly easly. its called splitting your model into pieces and bring them ingame together without lag so its low if you ask me my other model just an Lam has 6000 and ok thats alot for a lam but still

i made alot of weapons for Source and 6000 for such a big thing is pretty low. and crysis sure maybe it can but the creators of games are having 90% of the time lower quality models than the game can run. i don't understand those guys

anyway when you gonna post the mp40 ?

I see, very interesting info, I had no idea counter strike could handle that amount of polys . In terms of the mp40, Ive finished the actual modeling of it and am about to texture it, I would say it will be finished in about 2 weeks (im spending extra time on the texture so its as good as it can possibly be, so its better than my Bren ).
