I'm okay with hunting if you use every part of the animal for something important (which does not mean you should mount it on your wall!), and treat the animal with respect, not as if it were your kill, but as if they sacrificed themselves for you. I however, do not support it as a form of population control. Moving the animals would be far better, and they don't do that simply because it's more time consuming and more expensive. And I am completely against sport hunting. Killing should not be "fun".

I think killing an animal for "population control" is bullshit, just move them to another location where there aren't that many.
Take note from Native american tribes who hunted for food and resource. That's the only type of hunting I support.
Killing shouldn't be fun, all lives matter.

"Hunting to bring down overpopulated species" Not only this doesn´t make it any less of an act of violence (Kill them, it doesn´t matter because there are a million others like it) and is kind of hypocrital but it is a falacy. The real flaw with this argument is that people dont realize that hunting a specific species in a time of the year when it is considered "overpopulated" does a huge damage not only to that species, but to other species in its same trophic chain and the environment as a whole.
Have you ever thought that there is an important reason why some species can be found in great numbers on a specific time of the year besides mating seasons?
Its because every single species play a role on its environment, has a niche in its ecosystem, by hunting you are disrupting the life cycles of the species and therefore not only damaging the environments but also getting rid of that and several other species indirectly. Not for nothing species are disappearing a hundred thousand times faster by human actions than by natural ways.

I always say if you hunt it you make use of it. Even if you don't eat it give it to someone who will eat it. Feed it to your pets (fresh cooked unseasoned meat is good for them anyway). There are a lot of bone artists. Donate the bones or make your own art. Use organs as bait or compost. Give someone the pelts. There is never an excuse to waste a good animal.

Hunting brings joy and closeness amount friends and family. The fun comes out of the company not the hunt. The hunt is a joyous opportunity to become one with nature and to give thanks for what Mother Nature provides us with. Do not twist my words.

One should always consider not being wasteful or cruel when hunting, but it is incredibly creepy to find hunting fun considering you're ending a life. It's like finding murder fun. Hunt only out of absolute necessity for the local environment albeit for food or populace control.

Clearly you are not a hunter otherwise you would have understood the meaning of why the hunt is fun. It's the company not the hunt that is fun, a chance for friends and family to be together in that moment in nature. To me there is nothing better then being at my duck blind with my dad and my black lab. Do not twist my words so easily when you do not know what your talking about

First of all, I do know what I am talking about. You just magically expect me to know you implied family time is fun. Family time and the act of hunting itself are 2 different things. You should not have said hunting is fun if you did not imply killing is fun. What you meant to say is that family time is fun. The actual act of hunting isn't related to what you do before and after hunting. How do you know I am not a hunter? Don't make silly assumptions. My point was simply that the act of killing isn't fun. Death is a necessity, but that doesn't make it fun. Any mentally stable hunter will tell you that.

No, there are plenty of so called hunters who get a thrill from the killing. In that case it's sick. I have lived in the middle of bumfuck hillbilly USA. I've talked to these people and they actually TOLD me they got excited to go kill innocent creatures. Well, how about we start hunting innocent children for the fun of it. Hm, would you be okay with that? Only hunt for food and use all supplies, not for "fun". If you think it's fun to end an innocent living beings life why don't I just kill you. It would be "fun" wouldn't it? Why is it fun to murder? Huh? Hunt for necessity, not fun. That's fucking disgusting. You are killing for the fun of it, not out of necessity. Just accept that you have the mind of a psycho and enjoy killing. You are the furthest thing from being close to nature.

This is an old stamp, but I have to thank you. I used to hate hunters until my dad told me he was one once. I eventually learned that people mostly hunt to either a) have food, b) keep species from f*cking up the ecosystem with overpopulation, or c) keep animals from harming others (such as hunting an animal for burrowing holes that can cause horses broken legs that will require them to be put down). Most people don't even think about who hunters are before they speak.

I never said I was an expert, but that doesn't stop me from stating the truth. Animals hunt animals; it's natural. Some creatures were made to be omnivores so they can survive certain conditions, and we fall into this category. I'd rather hunt a pheasant who died a quick non-painful death and use all of the resources I can from it than buy a chicken at the store who was raised to be fat then slaughtered. Plus, saying you hate hunting is like saying you hate the way the entire ecosystem is kept in balance.
Of course if you don't want to accept this, that's okay. I'll let you have your own opinion as long as you don't force yours on me and try to disprove others with such immature pictures.

Agreed.
My whole family hunts for meat, and only if we get a good deer with that meat we'll keep it as a trophy.
Here's a TRUE story some anti-hunters shall think about:
My brother was hunting, and got a deer. The deer was old, lived it's life, but had a nasty infection that was probably causing a slow death. Of course we didn't get to eat it, but we saved it a lot of pain in a humane and quick way. And we did mount it as a trophy, just so we have some keepsake of it.

I'm so glad you made this. So many people don't realize that hunters are the ones that are preserving animal habitats with all the money that comes from the hunting licenses and tags that are sold. It help keeps animal populations in a healthy balance too.
Whenever an activist mentions that they are against hunting, the first thing I ask is 'how much have they given to the preservation of habitat'.
This is going on my page, thank you.
