I like the gate part and the light that's coming from behind the gate.
The architecture behind, on the other hand, doesn't seem to speak the same design language. In my opinion, it's too block-y (is that even a word?) while the gate implies way lighter and sharper shapes.
Also, I'm not quite sure the spikey stuff in the foreground fits, but I'm the kind of person who likes balance.
Apart from that, I like your use of colours and the brushwork (especially on the ground). Looks cool. And again, I really like the gate.

aw, of course it worked! It looks friggin' amazing!
It's very hard for an artist to paint down exactly what they see in their mind, but it doesn't mean it's a fail. You did very well.
