This could be a storybook illustration. I like how the area around the butterfly is the most in focus while background starts to fade a little.

Thanks. This is one I did from a photograph and it has that in/out of focus effect smewhat.

I love this painting The butterfly is so peaceful, at rest, but yet still ready to fly at any moment. Wow, is this really acrylic? It looks so much like watercolour! The only think I would critique is that even though you have some darker undertones here, they are all pretty much solid blocks of color. Solids blocks like that are hard to find in nature, and it seems like you were going for a more realistic look here than in your other paintings. Don't be afraid to go darker, and add some lights, too! There's no highlights at all...black and white really do exist in shadows and highlights

It's gerat to see that traditional artists still frequent these parts of the internets.

I really dig the composition, but the lower right part stands out with the nicely coloured butterfly. It distracts the viewer from the whole piece, IMHO.

I went to a butterfly farm in Belize. It was amazing. They had these Blue morpho butterflys that were huge.
