Ron Eder was not the type of man to coo over cute little foals, yet as he peered over the stable door he could not help but smile at the floppy eared youngster sprawled in the straw.

A good friend from Fields of Grace stables had sent a gift, in the form of a very young foal. Ron, or rather his wife Elleisse, was going to hand rear it up until weaning age. He watched as the little colt looked up at him with big glimmering eyes.

"...Antares" Ron smiled, his husky voice made the foals ears perk forward. "A supergiant red star. That's what we'll call you little one. Antares."
