My hand hurts.

I won't do the whole postmortem dealy, but I will talk about this one a bit.

This one was.. a big one. The final size is 1280 by 1024 (in case you want a new desktop wallpaper). It took me about.. 10 hours. It is the single biggest piece I've attempted. And it's probably the best I've ever done. Unlike my last piece, I'm actually kind of proud of this one.

To be honest, it's not exactly what I had in mind when I first set out. Originally, there were 4 "mini heads", not 2, and there were 4 torches on the wall. The scene was generally a lot more lit up, but I cut it down a fair bit. The perspective is a bit dodgy too, because I only did some basic mapping right at the beginning. After that I pretty much just drew.

That said, I learn a fuckton. I learned a bit about contrast, colour, light and shadow.. I learned a lot about multiple light sources really. Or maybe I didn't learn much, maybe I just applied it.. who knows.

If I had a favourite part, it'd be the King Baba's mouth, both for the teeth things and the tongue. A least favourite part? I don't care much for any of the leaves besides the one at the top of the King's head. If I were to do over, I'd probably put more effort into the actual plantyness of the vines and leaves.

Finally, this piece is dedicated to LOLIP.
