I love this! Can you tell me if you used flash for this effect? that's the only way I've ever been able to do it and it looks no where near as good as this.

No flash... held the camera to my side (took this pic in the mirror) and slowed down the shutter speed. Only lighting happened to be the vanity bulbs above my mirror in my apartment bathroom.

I found out quickly it was all about proper timing when moving my head. For this one i held in place for a moment, then turned my head at a normal pace (not too quick) and then held in place again just before the shutter closed. It managed to work! It's all about trying different approaches and then just seeing what worked best... i have a few others that came out great too... all from simply experimenting.
