Krika didn't deserve to die. He was tricked by Icarax and was killed because Gorast decided to be b**** about it and use her Felnas to go all Brakas-s*** on him. He was probably the most trustworthy Makuta and he should have been spared.

am i the only one who thinks her mask looked decent? what i really didn't liked about the toa Mistika is that they aren't as complex as the Phantoka ones, they just grabbed a piraka torso and metru hips and stamped a bunch of pieces

I liked the plot of 2008 (for the most part) and most of the characters, but I don't like how they brought back the toa nuva... and promptly ruined their personalities and appearances.
Very good artwork, though! keep it up!

I don't think their personalities were ruined that much... they've developed since the days of Mata Nui, even if they became somewhat stale in the process. Their looks, though leaved a lot to be desired. Mostly the Mistika. I try to be forgiving and broadminded, but even I had to ask: What were they thinking?

I guess it's the Toa's backstory that bothers me. There are things better revealed, but I don't think that was one of them. And Gali's berserker moment in training with Hydraxon was completely out of character.

Oh right. I hardy remember that scene, though I guess maybe having her memories erased later on caused Gali to develop a new personality... perhaps? Or she was that rash initially, and then went through a development.
I wouldn't say the backstory bothered me all that much, but I can agree with you that it made the Toa seem far less "mythical" and mysterious than they were before. Then again, that was the whole point, I guess. And it fit in well with the writers' intention of explaining everything through less fantastic means. Similar to how Mata Nui went from "the Great Spirit" to "the giant robot".

Yeah, this is one scean I get to wonderin' about. For a while, I tried to figure out why he wanted to go against the brotherhoods' plans. Plus, I was starting to wonder if he had a bit of a crush on Gali.
