Helga, oh, helga....Why, Helga?
.....I don't know. I think maybe it was because I was thinking of this girl from an anime I saw, while the characters are not well designed, the animation is pretty good and I liked one of the main characters with this fiery attitude. hmm...it was centered around kids but it had some quite dark themes to it.
I don't know it's real name in Japanese or anything, and I always miss it on animax, but it's called Fantastic Children. If anyone knows the real name in japanese, please tell me, I'd like to know.
Although her name was Helga, and she has short hair, I didn't reference anything for this...which is normal, and it might not look exactly like her. she has short hair too though, but the eye and all that. Well, whatever.
The thing I really like about this: the background colouring. Why? Cuz I do.

Very pretty interpretation of Helga! Reminds me of Final Fantasy artwork. o.o
Personally I like the style they used in the series! The first time I saw it I was like "wtf is this?" because seriously, lookit the schnozes on Cooks and Hisuma! You could take eyes out with those things!

Yes, they should have done the series with a more mature style, and they actually did, in the Manga, when both Thomas and Helga were 14-15.

The series Fantastic Children has the same name in English and Japanese, except technically the Japanese name is γγ‘γ³γΏγΈγγ―γγ«γγ¬γ³ ("fantajikku chirudoren"), which is just their way of pronouncing the English words "fantastic children." Really good show, I must say, even if the art's a little . . . odd.
Oh, and although this looks not much like the FC Helga, it's still really good. Better than the real Helga, I think. ^-^
