Non-censored version here (aka removed censor bar). Not entirely sure if I can post a lion 'middle- finger' on DA, though I can probably get away with it if I do the moderate mature content warning, though guys please let me know if you would want to see the page fully posted and not just in stash. I wanna be respectful of you guys and the rules, though not entirely sure if posting the version without the censor bar is gonna get me in trouble.

Perhaps the oldest Scar's scar theory, curtesy of the TLK-inspired book "A Tale of Two Brothers ", Scar(known as Taka in the book) gets his scar from attempting to humiliate/harm his brother through agitating a Cape Buffalo, Boma, in response to his own jealousy and anger towards his father's supposed favoritism for his older brother. It backfires, as Taka is caught in the herd of Cape buffalo and injured, and thus Scar is born.

While an interesting theory to be certain... let's be realistic, if a buffalo's horn really was going to cause the scar, that scar would be way more massive then it is. Unless it's like a certain angle and at a certain moment, there is a much more realistic chance that that entire half of Taka's face is either pushed in or torn apart. Plus, the fact that he was apparently attacked by other member's of Boma's herd, gotta be some hefty injuries, like permanent limps. Think this theory was more popular due to the 'Taka' being Scar's original name thing, but since TLG, I much more support 'Askari' being the original name, since who would want to name their firstborn kid 'king' and your secondborn son 'trash'. Yeah, unless you've got a good explanation for that, like with RFakon-Wolf's theory , must be some questionable parents.

I initially had it in my head that Boma has a voice like Chief Bogo from Zootopia, which would be an obvious choice, though when I suddenly thought about Zazu's British accent and Jeremy Iron's as Scar's voice actor, I thought it would be so funny if Boma's first introduction had him with a deep, yet obviously British tone of voice. I was thinking something like Patrick Stewart in the second panel, then when's he's angry .... okay maybe not the best fit, but I find it hilarious. Let me know if you've got any better British actors or other actors in mind for his voice.

And yes, I did recycle Scar's front half in the fifth panel from the last picture, as well as the background screaming. No regrets. This is also the second(third-ish?) time I've ever done a Cape Buffalo , conveniently re-using the color palette for the background as well.

Honestly, with how much trauma Scar is getting by the end of this, I might just have to draw the last picture with him in a full-body cast. As for where he'll land in this one... uh... let's just say he got sent straight to the Elephant Graveyard, landed in the birdie boiler, got jettisoned back to Pride Rock, just in time for dinner. And for his family to be there and call Rafiki back. Or Boma punts him into orbit, I'm fine either way.
