I can try writing you a critique if you want, even thoguh I'm more fond with human anatomy than animal one xD At least I could help you with coloring and such.
Tell me, do you prefer cartoony style or realistic style? I see you're a great fan of am I right?

Alrighty :3 Hehe I know what you mean! She's really good at coloring the fur and she's very nice
In this case this is my suggestion: as time goes by, try practising drawing all the hair. Almost strand by strand.
I know this sounds crazy, but it's one of the best methods to come up with a super detailed fur Since you prefer something more cartoony, I'd suggest you to take a peek to the hair tutorial. Most of times, the fur tuts are more similar to the realistic fur, while in your case, something like [link] or maybe [link] would work well with you I'm not sure if you have sai, but this method works with every program, from photoshop to opencanvas as well
I highly suggest you to proceed with colours and not dodge and burn, since you can have more control on it. You can also play around with layers- maybe you make three, one with main colour, one with shadows and one with highlights, and play around with layers settings to find the shading technique you feel more comfortable.
