After defeating Robotnik, Sally and Sonic settled down. With Sally being the professional and Sonic being the retired hero, the former goes to work while the latter stayed at home and protected their daughter. Sonic liked being Mr. Mom, and Elly ended up taking a lot after him. She inherited her father's fun-loving personality, speed, liking for chili dogs, and his round figure.
Although Sonic made sure she grew up to be a kind person, he's not much of a disciplinarian, so she's very willful. Sometimes Sally would have to punish their girl when she got home, a task she did not particularly like considering how much she loves her.
She makes friends with everyone a lot school, since she has her father's affability and does not judge people very much. She's very popular, even though has friends from most every social clique. She doesn't have much choice considering who her parents are. Still she isn't very much into the hip, social scene, preferring to spend time with her dad and best friend Lara-Su.

Tabloids sometimes hound her as a result, but she takes it in stride. She teases paparazzi like her father teased Robotnik, taunting their efforts to get a photo how fat she is. Sally, very protective of her daughter, hates this and wishes they'd leave her alone.

She grew up as a skinny girl, but in her teens she started ballooning until she got a an extremely curvy backside and large potbelly. She outdoes her dad in both roundness and love for chilidogs. Her main weakness is that she is a dedicated glutton. She loves to run, too, but that doesn't burn off all her weight.

Much like her dad, she really takes things seriously despite her cheery attitude. She wishes she could do her heroic parents proud and strives to be more like Sally. She inherited her blue eyes, graceful upper body, and intelligence. She does well in school and is surprisingly well organized. She often embarrasses herself because she is impatient and rash like her father. She often tries to help people out.
