One thing I hear all the time is people who keep saying that they grew tired of their Wii and sold it. Seriously? How can you get tired of a console that has Mario Galaxy, Mario Kart, New Super Mario Bros, Wii, and Freakin' SMASH?People say it doesn't have anything for a "hardcore" gamer, but no true "hard core gamer" would limit his tastes based on the lack of a Mature label. That's one thing I like about the Wii, is that it still makes the kind of games that made us love games in the first place. Challenging enough, but not too time consuming to master and able to be enjoyed by anyone of any age.
Technically I use my PS3 more for playing DVD's but I almost never end up using its games like I do the Wii ones.

Actually I hate the majority of the games for any console, the Wii is no exception. But you also have gems like Legend of Zelda, which won't ever be on a Playstation or Xbox. Zelda isn't for casual gamers at all, if you ask me. I don't buy consoles for just one game, but buying a Wii was an easy decision since my GameCube was dying and I'm enough of a Zelda fanatic to want a Wii anyway... (Though I don't think I'd ever even look at Link's Crossbow Training.)

Yeah, I get tired of people saying they regret getting a Wii & spouting nonsense that Nintendo onley caters to casual or non-gamers now. Wich isn't true, as far as I'm concerned. (Are they even aware that a new Metroid is coming in a few months? That looks like a pretty "hardcore" game to me.)
Not to mention, so-called "hardcore gamers" forget that just because a "casual" game like "Wii Sports" can be played by anyone, doesn't meen it's a bad game. (And it can be quite challenging at times to.)
Personally, I recently got a Wii, and I love the hell out of it. I don't care what anyone says.

I still love my Wii. And I have the games that you reffered, except for Galaxy, but I do sometimes borrow it from my big brother.
They're all really good games. ^^
Then you have the Wii Ware and Virtual Console games, which some of them is really good.

I have the Simpsons Game on Wii. I bought it for the PS3 but that's a more complete version.

It's also got a library of Virtual Console games for the classics as well...and New Super Mario Bros. Wii is awesome! YAY FOR THE WII!
