Description

For the 2020 version of the "It's raining men" contest, one of the categories was "Polishing storytelling". For that one, a person who had entered an image in the previous year's main "Storytelling" category could resubmit a revised version of an entry on which they'd received comment by the person running that part of the contest, FenixPhoenix. As it happened, of my two storytelling entries, one finished in the top three in the Storytelling section, and the other -- the original "Time Passages" -- didn't place in the Storytelling contest (because the other did), but DID finish in the top three in the main division. I did ask if it would be kosher to redo the image for the Polishing category, since this was the very definition of double-dipping, but since it wasn't eligible for anything else, it was deemed acceptable to revise for Polishing only ... which it won.

The revisions consisted of adding two entirely new frames -- the third and fourth -- and substantially revising the first and second. The minor revision to the fifth was adding the photo of Darcy, to make people realize that she was dead. The first frame was revised to create parallel construction with the final frame.

(I was tempted to call this set either "Perchance" or "A relationship in five naps" but I resisted.)

And that's that for this one, for now. I may come back to this someday and do the full expansion that I planned to start in 2020, before it 2020-ed So Very Hard.
