That may be the best field car ever. My first car was a '71 Beetle and to this day it still was the funnest car to drive.

Herbie is Β΄71 for real too! I agree, the old Beetles are funniest cars to drive Now I have driven with a New Beetle and maybe it feels too "easy" car to drive

The rear engine was the best for raising a little hell in. My accelerator cable would break, floorboards were rusted and it had no seat belts. Awesome little car!

Yeah, Beetle is a car which you really have to "drive yourself" (no abs brakes or something like that ) Also Herbie is not on good condition (we havenΒ΄t bought anything new to it, in fact the whole car is a huge "puzzle") and itΒ΄s very simple inside

My brother had a '69 Beetle and he would try to fix it up. He found a car manual somewhere that was very helpful. It could have been fixing VW Bugs for dummies or something. lol

I donΒ΄t know is it my Herbie that good replica, it was made on minimum-budget ItΒ΄s `71 for real. We only used some older parts, for example front fenders and tailgate are older. The whole car is a real puzzle, it was green/red/pink/dark blue when we bought it!

O.o well great job most don't try and cover up the year as well as you did. mine is a year newer a '72. Mine is a was a puzzle to the electric and inside(she was a project car but the guy wanted a Harley so he sold her.)Your welcome.

It was made on parts what came on with it Maybe old owner tried to made Beetle which looks older, I donΒ΄t know

The guy made a mistake when he switched Beetle to Harley (I mean that he surely will regret it ) But I belive that youΒ΄re better owner to her!

Yeah, sounds a similar case Herbie was on pieces when it arrived (doors were only taped on their places, hinges were inside the car in a box xD but some parts were missing, for example seats and windows. Also there are no upholstery in the roof yet because they were missing too )

Sorry, I donΒ΄t know how hard it is Only roofΒ΄s upholstery was taken off. CarΒ΄s Body was intact, only doors and fenders were removed
