Dara "Elwen" Branduir Morä From The Chronicles of Arcea's universe©There is something different this time. I wanted to try a new way of colouring to change my mind. Just a little exercise near to my old skill of traditional painting.

I change all the face of Elwen for the calendar and I found finally time to edit this deviation.

Je suis à l'école et il est l'heure de partir donc je ferais court. Le premier truc que j'améliorerais, puisque tu as demandé des conseils, je marquerais davantage le pli de son bras droit. Là il est quasi inexistant, ça gêne pas mal. Ensuite j'ai un doute quant à son sein gauche. Il devrait être peut-être un peu plus écrasé vers nous. La jambe de gauche me paraît très longue, mais c'est peut-être moi, je sais que tu références beaucoup.
Comme ta technique est différente de celle à laquelle tu nous as habitués, pourquoi ne pas avoir traité les cheveux avec des effets de lumière cette fois? L'applat empêche de comprendre la source lumineuse selon moi. Bref voili voilou, pas trop le temps d'approfondir, désolée!

I don't speak French very well but I understood the critique and I quite agree with you where you wrote about the hair.. I think some "light spots" would look really nice

The lighting here is really nice - very effective and atmospheric, and it works really well with the traditional-ish effects on the grass. What I would say is that some variation in colour saturation would be nice and make the piece stand out: perhaps if the light was more saturated/warm and the dark was cooler/dimmer? The other thing that bothers me is the length of her legs - it seems to me her thighs are too long and slender, although that could be a stylisation thing. Overall though, it's a well-done piece with a nice painterly feel - her eyes and hands are very expressive as well.

I must confess that the result on my laptop isn't the same that on my work computer. All is darker and more contrasted. The herbs are green, like shadows. And the light is white/orange... I will try to make adjustments for this.
And the legs, I like them as they are

Ah, okay! My monitor tends to play down contrasts too, so that might be it. And long legs are pretty, on thinking about it I think they're fine as a stylistic element. Have you ever seen ~Melii 's work? She does nice things with elongated limbs and stylised anatomy :3

This is gorgeous beyond words. You've actually inspired me to work harder on my story, just from her eyes alone. Do you have references for all of your work, or is this solely the workings of your own amazing imagination? Awesome!

"Sexy" is not the word. She looks... Stunningly beautiful. Her skin seems so smooth and her eyes really stand out despite the fact that her body is supposed to catch your whole attention -- it's a very nice piece, indeed!
