OH GOD, MOLUCCAN COCKATOO!! I was once violently attacked by one in the arm. I'm lucky she didn't break or damage my tendons / bones, she struck at my arm 7 times. Bit through a sweatshirt and t-shirt, and had me bleeding through those layers. AMAZINGLY strong beaks. Don't underestimate these marvelous birds!! Though I have to admit.... I'm still a sucker for how gorgeous and entertaining the beasts can be. So beautiful.

Wow! What kind of background is that?

in former time it was the backside of the cage. or better the aviary. the background was very dark, the cockatoo flies through the sunlight. so I only had to make the background a little bit darker.

Usually when shots are captured like that, you expect to see a bird of prey. Very nice capture.

you just need a curious cockatoo . . . . every time I lifted my lense hie comes directly to me, stopped at the cage and back to his former place. then I lifted the lense again - and the cockatoo comes again.
the cage was not very bright, so it was mo problem to remove everything, but not the cockatoo.
