I checked the link you gave me. If you look well you'll see it's very different from what i do. Even the technique. Nice drawing though.

I was looking more at the portriats, and how you both highlight and use features in the face. I dont make a lot of sense.. lol they just link together in my head quite nicely.

A lot of times an artist will pick up style traits from other artists as they develop their own, whether they do it intentionally or whether they do it subconsciously it is inevitable. It always kind of sucks to find out someone has been doing what you are doing, regardless of how similar or different it is, if there is a similarity there at all, artists tend to see it as a threat and it's really hard to accept that almost none of us can truly be original, especially when there are sites like this where we can find not just a few but HUNDREDS of artists and art pieces that we may appear to have mimicked or that appear to have mimicked us and we are all here and able to see each-other on an even plane.

I'm not saying anyone made a mistake here, i couldn't even see that link you posted. i just happened to have stumbled upon this piece while looking for art that DOES resemble my own style, i've formed a weird sort of obsession with forcing myself to find artists that are doing similar art to mine in order to remind myself that i am not new or original and my roots came from the seeds of other fully grown artists, it keeps me motivated to continue improving upon my style so that i don't just settle down inside it and keep cranking out the same old things.

I do understand what you mean. I didn't mean to annoy the artist or come off that way if I did :/ Both are amazing pieces of work, suppose I must like the style if I made a link they were similar. I find it so difficult to draw faces and portraits :/ I find the explosion on pieces like this, and indeed yours, amazing You have a great style.
