Just finished rewatching Hammer of the Gods, and good grief, did that episode make me ticked at the writers. Gabriel was actually one of my favorites, despite his complete utter lack of self control and/or tasteful sense of humor.Credit for Gabriel and that episode go the Supernatural crew, I own nothing except the design.

Oh my God, YES! This is MADE OF WIN! This completely summarizes my feelings about Gabriel. He was sarcastic and mean and petty, but he was also clever and hilarious and totally badass. BRING OUR TRICKSTER BACK!

I agree with you so much. But if you consider who he is and who he was. Gabriel had to adapt fast to be a pagan god. I imagine he started out so innocent, so caring. But he had to let that all go to survive, making him a true trickster. But at the end, he was able to find a little bit of Grace left in him. That's why I think they should bring him back, even in flash backs, so we can finally see the old Gabriel. The real Gabriel.
