Creative titles, horray! *Facepalm*

Yesterday I decided to draw a little something since it was ten years since I got my first pet birds. I still remember how I hurried to the pet shop after school as I had been waiting for a few weeks for them to get some new budgies there and I wanted to be sure to get mine then. Of course no one had already picked their budgies from that bunch of 16 birds so I had the freedom to pick any I wanted xD I had before decided that I want a blue budgie but the moment I saw those little birds some other than a blue bird caught my attention. It was Reca (left one), the most beautiful female budgie I've ever seen. She wasn't sleek like the other budgies but a strongly-built one with the most peculiar coloration I've seen. She was mostly white with cinnamon markings, but her belly and sides were something between light grey, purple and blue with hints of turquoise. Some elitist's of budgie-breeding would probably say she was a horrible creation for a budgie since she didn't quite fit to any color standars of budgies. And she probably was half-Australian and half-English types ( [link] ). But for me she became my first bird and a great personality - even though she was quite stubborn.
For Reca's company I picked a more common-looking male budgie, and this time a blue one. It just was pretty hard to pick only one of the blues since there were about 5 or 6 of them. There were two that looked almost the same, except that the other had a fully white patch in the back of his head and the other didn't. I picked the one with the white patch and named him Rio after the "Rio Macarena" song since he once was chirping a lot when that song was playing in the radio.

I quite likely could go on like forever blabbering about my birds but maybe I should spare you now. Lets just say that I've lost these wonderful guys already but they taught me a lot about the life with birds and gave me so many great memories. Of course I still miss them but my life goes on with the lovely birds I'm happy to have here now.
