This makes me think of looking in the mirror during a nightmare, or maybe it's a moment during a prayer being answered when everything becomes uncertain and changeable before it settles down again.

The pockmarks in the skin makes this all feel even more uneasy, as if so many elements and their acidity are eating away at it

how do you knock such quality pieces out so quickly? your technique is great but your true talent lies in the subtle ability to perfectly combine elements from tone to cropping and so on.. each picture is just really well done altogether.

the honest answer, i don't know. I try to do two images a day at the moment - I have a huge backcatalogue of images waiting to be used that I shot last year. Then it's just a process of seeing what works, sometimes I'll have a set idea, other times I wont. With this image I wanted her face to be in it, but along the way it morphed into this - no rhyme or reason.

I think you would find great inspiration from it. I would bet if you put "Lovecraft: in as a search argument on here, you'd find many, many images people have made, inspired by his tales of horror and the supernatural.

WOW - if you just got lost - you should get lost more often! Although, please always get found as this looks like it came from a very dark place! Always take a light with you to guide you home
