Hey, it's not photoshop that makes peoples work awesome. It's the art. It isn't called Deviant ART for nothing.
There are great artworks on here done without any graphic program at all.
And if you wanna improve, there are plenty of tutorials here on Deviant Art. I use them too and they are very helpful. Come to think of it, this place IS awesome.
