Wow. Amazing. I actually really like fours nose in your drawing! I think it just suits his face. Oh man, THE MOVIE WAS SO GOOD!!!!!!!!!! I wasn't a huge fan of the books, i mean they were pretty good, but the movie... AMAZING. And this drawing ULTRA-AMAZING!!!!!

Yeah, I guess I didn't really… hmmm. Well, connect to the books as much. It's hard to explain . I really liked the first book, but then as i kept reading the second and third books my view of the characters kind of downgraded. I also didn't really like Tris and Tobias's relationship. It was a fantastic idea for a book series, and i'm glad you liked it

I think I read in an article that they felt the wouldn't be able to do his character justice if they tried to squeeze him into the first movie, so they planned to cast him for the second movie instead.

Yes I looked at the trailer many times and I found myself trying to tell myself to calm down. It's mostly the fact that they upped their ages and four doesn't look 18 that bothers me plus his eye color...
And I think they have the wrong person to play Eric too...I'm being fan girly and nit picking sorry.

You make me want to read this series so bad. I've heard such mixed reviews on the books, some that compare it to Hunger Games and others who didn't like the characters?? But your art is so feels-inducing with such warm colors, I'm just sitting here wondering who are these people, what's their background story, why do they look so sad. I mean the way she's sitting with her knees close to herself and he's lifting her face, and they're staring at each other with that look in their eyes... ugh. ;_;

I am trying to be objective here about a series that I clearly love a lot and I guess I can say that if I met the main characters IRL I probably wouldn't like them very much. And the worldbuilding feels a bit arbitrary at first (though it all makes sense in book two) and the writing style is at times a lot like The Hunger Games (though the plot is very very different). But the books are awesome. They have some of the coolest action scenes and there are lots of really inspiring moments. And the characters are incredibly fascinating (even if I probably wouldn't want to be friends with them) and the relationships are all really really intriguing. Also, you can read the first 100 pages here -- browseinside.harperteen.com/in… so the next time you're bored or procrastinating you can just decide what you think for yourself :)

I have one particular friend who adores Four, and from what I heard I think I'd grow fond of him the most. What you said seems understandable, I think I'll give this series a chance. I guess a lot of ill reviews just come from the fact that it's a YA novel, which for some reason people seem to just lump all together instead of judging them individually for their substance. What they said about its plot in comparison to THG is a shame, for a while I actually pushed it away because of it.

There was a really big marketing push when Divergent first came out, and as part of the marketing they put up the first hundred pages, which still seem to be up :) I wish they'd do that for more books, I'd buy far more books if I could read a significant chunk before buying!
I think that when YA novels reach a certain level of popularity people who don't normally read or enjoy YA novels start reading them and naturally don't enjoy them at all :P I genuinely don't understand why anyone would compare the plots of Divergent The Hunger Games. I mean, sure it's dystopian. There's a female lead. She learns to fight. She has a love interest. It's written in a rather humourless first-person present voice. It's set in America. And, um, those are all the similarities I can think of right now? I hope you enjoy the first hundred pages - and if you don't, that is cool too, different people enjoy different books :)

And the colours are great, too! Down it´s dark blue / violet and above it´s pink / a bit orange (it's what I learned - use the colours which are there here and there xD), here and there the white lines <3
