GIMP always seemed to intimidating to me. You must be a wizard. OAO
What kind of tablet do you use? Is it one of those pen & mouse ones that I don't understand how to use?

Haha thank you
I'm still using my old Wacom Bamboo - which I think is the pen & mouse type? I'm thinking of upgrading and getting this baby although they just released the 12 inch version so now I need to go through reviews again

Better value honestly and your art is awesome - Do you find the smooth surface difficult to draw on?
My current tablet has started to glitch and disconnect randomly so I feel like giving in and splurging on a new one

My intuos tablet connector died so even though the tablet and cable are in perfect condition is impossible to charge. I had to go back to my old bamboo and you really notice the sensitivity drop off after using something better. I actually love the iPad. The Pencil feels really natural and the palm rejection is amazing. I can actually draw longer on the iPad than I could on the tablet. I must hold the Pencil more ergonomically. I know I definitely sit with improved posture because I don’t have to reach over the tablet to use hot keys. But to each their own. I know some people don’t believe tablet technology has come far enough yet and swear by thier cintiqs or similar. If you do get an iPad though I really recommend Procreate. It’s one of the best drawing apps I’ve come across and it’s pretty inexpensive($15).
The pencil does does slide across the surface well but I wouldn’t call it slippery because the tip is silicon or something. When you use an intous for a long period of time the surface is supposed to wear down and become glass like (according to Wacom) so it was much the same difference. One of the things I like about the Apple Pencil compared to tablet styluses is the weight and thickness. It really just feels like a regular colouring pencil. Sorry this got a bit long.
