My first Wolfie of the season! Yays! By her size it is evident that she is an overwintering adult. On Thursday I was out shooting in 70 degree weather and by Friday the temps dropped to freezing and we had 2" of snow. When Monday arrives it will be bringing even more snow! I hope this beautiful Wolfie will be safe.Related content

In the past week, I saw two mother wolfies on my front porch carrying their babies on their abdomen. I also caught and released a male wolf spider I found last night. He looked a little dehydrated, so I let him out of his container and onto a leaf where it had rained.
