i feel like my art is stagnant. i feel like i see people who are half my age and have been drawing since they were young (like me) twice as skilled as me, everywhere. i want to improve my own artwork and branch out. so i'm starting to do likeness practice with digital painting and such. here's the first one i did, of my dog, Sugarbaby. i think it came out alright.anyways, i hope you like.

i used Paint Tool SAI, but now i'm planning on getting Photoshop, because the program really has limitations (SAI, that is)

i guess i really needed a boost of confidence, but i still think that in terms of my more cartoony work, i can do way better than i am. i'm 28, and keep seeing people who are 15 and 16 drawing things i consider way above my skill level, and feel discouraged. maybe if i push myself some more, i can do something better.

I totally understand, I'm 22 and I look at kids posting doodles they did in school, I cant fathom how they draw so well! Keep going though, I think you're brilliant, I couldn't possibly do what you do!
