Venus the Wartortle, and Donahue the Squirtle. I'll leave whatever they're saying up to your imagination.
The first, honestly, spontaneous Christmas piece - done in just one sitting. c: I think I'm finally getting out of this artblock, which is never a bad thing.
This, I owe to , another nuzlocker who started with a Squirtle. Her run is hilarious (and it has Jack Nicholson in it, too). I think, halfway through laughing at the sheer madness of it, I got my inspiration back.

I always liked her Wartortle, Venus, and I've always wanted to draw ginjinka(!) Donny. Two birds in one stone!
Venus is amazing - in between being homicidal and violent, she's snarky, insecure, and fun to watch. That and she smokes like a chimney, which is hilarious. I recommend checking out her run.

NOTE: I'm doing fanart for friends for my next few deviations. Not in any special order - just whenever I manage to finish the pictures.
Some things to note about this:
- I'm doing this for free. Honestly, I'm not asking for anything in return.
- Each deviation will be uploaded individually - it'll be a little like spamming - but that way everyone gets some degree of exposure. c:
- Quality may vary, depending on whatever my state of mind is in as I draw - it's has nothing to do with how much I 'love' a person.
- If you've been watching me and keeping in touch with me long enough, expect something this season. c: If (by the end of it all) I left you out and you feel you want something, note me. I don't have the time to draw everything for everyone, but I really wish I did.
- And, yes, if you gave me your address to help my school project last year, I'm mailing you a christmas present. yaaaay.

Well, I think I cheated slightly - the opening of Donahue's shell is based on a trenchcoat collar, so designing his gijinka clothes wasn't much of a stretch of the imagination. xD

I love this so much. :'D The poses, the colors, the expressions, the smoke, the shading.
I especially love how you can give the picture a warm feeling even when it has quite a bit of cooler colors in it.

Your guess is as good as mine. I just drew them as markings, but now that you mentioned it, they do make really really clever plasters (especially since I try not to put any pokemon characteristics on my own gijinka characters - they're just regular humans).

Funny story behind that: it was supposed to be the counter at a bar, and there were supposed to be little bottles of alcohol behind them. I realised too late into this that I didn't have the time or the patience to detail an entire bg of bottles, so you have the Awkward Piano of Awkward. xD
