I was looking at my poor old deviantart icon from beyond ages ago and I ended up doing a little study of what I did back then and how much I've learned in that time about art and pixel art more specifically. This is what came out, it's not perfect but it gave me a good picture of how far I've come as an artist.Also, I love Blaster Master! What a fantastic NES title!

Fester's Quest is flawed, but the EU version is better. The massive HP of the enemies has been balanced, and bullets no longer disappear from touching walls in tight sewer corridors. I still can't really do NES 1st person mazes, though.
I like the music from all those games you listed, but I've only ever beaten Uforia and that was as an adult on the Wii. Nice little exploration-platformer though.

I had no idea the EU version fixes a lot of stuff, that's amazing and apparently something I need to check out! I always thought it would be a truely fantastic game if some of the weirdness was fixed & balanced. At least the first person mazes are more of a time sink than being difficult, at very worst I think Nintendo power has some maps.
Uforia is a pretty tough game, I keep meaning to play through it especially because it's my friend's favorite game. I had a little problem with the Wii version because it plays the music at the wrong speed & I'm used to having it sound a particular way, haha! I got my buddy the Fami copy though & I should borrow it some day & finally finish it! (or maybe just emu it) Talking about this makes me want to do a Sunsoft day and just see how many I can beat!

It's hard to say an exact favorite game (there's so many that are up on the list) but Blaster Master certainly has a lot of my memories attached to it and probably has a lot to do with what I'm doing today and the kind of games I like.

I never actually owned Blaster Master as a kid, but I did have Fester's Quest! Nice sprite anyway!

Have you played through Blaster Master in more recent times at least? Fester's Quest is awesome too if not a little too hard, haha! Actually there's a whole series of Sunsoft games with tunes by Kodaka that are all really fantastic. Journey to Silius, Gremlins 2, the couple Batman games, & Uforia are all really special.
