Description "HERE?"

I absolutely love Jackal on the NES, wonderful mechanics, fantastic music, super tight gameplay, and two players! How can you go wrong with that? More of that classic Konami we'll never get back, ah well at least we have memories of the greats.

And this is awesome by the way.  Love how you got three folks in the car well defined.

Thanks so much! I actually spent quite a bit of the time I allowed myself getting the little fellas right. I was really trying to get a little bit of all the characters in the between level scenes (note the red beret dude) but I couldn't manage to get a bandanna working in that small of a pixel space, haha!

Everyone goes on about Metal Gear and Silent Hill and I'm like.. well, one of my fave Konami games is Jackal and they're like "what the hell are you talking about?" and I'm like... fook you... and loads up the nes emulator.

Seriously!!! Metal Gear & Silent Hill are cool and all, but they definitely don't have my love like Jackal does! I think that's what makes me so sad about what's happening with Konami, there's so many fantastic little one offs and gems that they made that have been forgotten. Maybe that's exciting at the same time because I can always make something in the vein of their old games without being another "me too" on it, haha! It would be neat to make a new Jackal game with some modern touches don't ya think?

Have you dove much into the Famicom end of their library? My studio has been SUPER into the older Konami library this past year or so and we just keep picking up "new" fantastic titles. At least fami games aren't that pricey of an addiction, hehe!

I just started doing these little quick one offs and I'm loving it for THIS exactly, doing an array of various things brings me little pieces of everyone, favorite games, shows, anecdotes, etc. I don't think I can stop doing these now, haha!

Yeah, other than Symphony of the Night, most of 'my' Konami comes from the 8 and 16 bit era.  Axelay, Buster Busts Loose, Adventures of Batman & Robin, various Ninja Turtles games, The Simpsons arcade game, Legend of the Mystical Ninja, Scramble, Time Pilot, a bit of Contra and Gradius.  Good times.
