Description Oh! This one is telling. Another character from "No Evil". Nickname of Icky. Fun fact. If a bird craps on your head, it's good luck.

Liken to the Ichabod Crane of Sleepy Hollow, he is heavily learned in all thing superstitious... it's kind of his power, really.

I knew I needed another bird character other than Byrdi and Murder. Because there are all these Bird Myths I wanted to use that just didn't fit with the two girls. either because the character was male or because the bird acted nothing like Byrdi or Murder.

Anywho! There is a funny little story about this guy. Now he was originally gonna have another bird pun name. I loved a certain Harper Lee piece as you can see from
this deviation [link] That of Atticus and he was going to be a Finch. I'd Carefully cobbled out a thoughtfully constructed little plot with reference of "To Kill a Mockingbird." Making the title itself part of the plot. I was all uber excited..... trouble is..... I think someone beat me to the punch.... only better.

Now I'm one of those folks who doesn't like to do things that have already been done (witness my Luna rant [link] ). Kinda stupid since I'm not entirely sure that is exactly what was intended. So! I hesitated to move forward with the idea until I knew for sure the other story who may be taking that rout was or was not going to do the same thing.... Buuut I got impatient.... Also my friends may have been getting frustrated with my being MANIC about this without explaining myself until now. As I am want to do. So the sooner I just let the thing go, the better.

SO I run into some really adorable myths about herons and cranes and similar long gangly awkward birds and decide I'd do the Ichabod thing.... Which may be a tad predictable. But I feel I know how to do it in a way that hasn't been done. And I ended up coming up with something better than what I'd originally planed. God works in mysteeeeerious ways and all that.

Why is Icky taking this? Why doesn't he just fly higher than the little bird, drop his own poo poo missile? "Thanks for the good omen, let me return the favor!"

(think there is already a redbull gives you wings ad where a cartoon dude does that)

Never understood why they say bird poop is lucky, in the UK they have this annoying thing with magpie "one for sorrow two for joy" it used to get on my pecks, I would see a magpie then look around for another damn magpie for fear of sorrow. Then I realized it was just superstition, that was needlessly causing me annoyance.Β

I am an ex-muslim, and Islam they used to ask the question "If God intended you harm, could a charm prevent it? If he intended you good tidings could a charm prevent it" charms and spells and such was considered a form of "shirk" if I remember right. But I believe local traditions would creep their way into certain people's practices.Β

What is your opinion on luck?

Here it's crows.

Ever since I was young I treat superstitions as fun more than scary.Β  They made to world seem kinda magical.Β  And if they were proper superstitions they always had an antidote.Β  I like the symbolism in that.Β  You can turn around a bad situation if you use your head.

From wiki The magpie rhyme

"A common modern version follows:

One for sorrow,Two for joy,Three for a girl,Four for a boy,Five for silver,Six for gold,Seven for a secret,Never to be told."

I treated them more scary tbh, my mother used to tell me that jack-o-lanterns scare away spirits on ALL HALLOWS EVE!!!" When the top was on the flame would go almost black... and would dim.... sometimes randomly go out! I thenΒ realizedΒ that the flame was being starved of oxygen, which is kind of important to keep a fire burning.

Suppose you're right though, When I was a religious. your shows were of those shows Β I tried to avoid, Β because I believed it was promoting magic/paganism. Basically a guilty pleasure I kept watching regardless. Yet can you blame me sometimes? Check shows like digimon, and count how many digimon are basically satan XD.

Well The universe is magical enough for me to be honest

The Atoms in my body are basically concentrated forms of energy, created in the cores of giant stars If I remember right, these giant stars would create the heavier elements then blow their atomic guts across their galaxy. According to scientists we are basically star dust! As Neil Degrasse Tyson puts it "we're related to each other biologically... to the world chemically... to the universe atomically"When it comes to things like God, universe, it is all theoretical, and the truth is probably unimaginable.

Sorry for rambling, I like trying to soundΒ intelligentΒ XD

When it comes to paranormal stuff, I am not one for tempting fate though ^^'

What does it mean if a bird craps on your hand? Β It's just that that's actually happened to me before.

The general consensus on this page is that the universe feels sorry for you and tries to make it up to you.

I like this character, you've introduced him very well (can't help but laugh at the last panel).

"Now I'm one of those folks who doesn't like to do things that have already been done..."
Let me ask you a question, if you'll humor me. Does the human imagination ,both individual and as a whole, have limits?

Thank ye

Imagination... No. far too abstract.... Structured storytelling, maybe. But things are constantly being forgotten so when they come up again they at least seem like new^^
