Description This is a real WWII dated Russian T34 tank. It was awesome to crawl around in it, but at the same time, very scary to see how hard it was to get out of it.

I have helped clean it, fix it a little, and help to test fire the cannon and machine gun blanks. But I have never actually been on it while it was moving. haha! It's being fixed right now though. The owner had to basically get the motors rebuilt. So hopefully when it's ready, I can finally get a ride on it. haha!

Do you steer with those levers? And does she run on a V2 diesel like the KV-1 did?

Here you see the most famous battle tank ever made! This machine played remarkable role in world`s history - whether some admit it or not! Fine, swift, cheap, well armed and armored - this medium tank pierced enemy lines with ease!

No doubt about it. One of the most produced tanks of WWII.

DOWModder In reply to warman707 [2010-12-14 17:33:26 +0000 UTC]

Not one of, my friend - the most one! During WW2 there were more than 12000 units produced! Time to complete one machine was 2 days, capital repair - 8 days, maintanance - 1 day!
To compare there were only 500 german Tigers in all nazi army! I`m pleased you are so interested in our history, be well, my friend!

Yeah that's true. haha! And yeah, I recently took an interest in the history...well more than I used to. So I try to learn as much as I can from other people.

when war begining this tank was one of the powerfull machines, but most of them was maked without radiostation, thi is big minus. Simple, rather cheap and very reliable,

Azka-02 In reply to TugoDoomER [2016-08-14 05:48:01 +0000 UTC]

It's not "rather cheap"
It's HELLA cheap
Over 34.000 units were created in and after the war

Quantity over quality. Get the most number of tanks out and you can overwhelm the enemy.

At a movie shoot I was a part of. The guy has a tone of stuff in his yard all WWII cannons and German halftracks etc.

I now know why if the average German soldier heard 'Russian' they were probably all "Holy Scheiße! We're dead men!"

warman707 In reply to Draco276 [2010-03-29 02:58:25 +0000 UTC]

Yeah the numbers of this tank being produced was scary enough. haha! Now imagine all those numbers coming at you.

Oh good lord! I would'a fainted!....then consequently been run over and been a human pancake. ...Is it odd that I find that thought amusing? Eh,probably too much Tom & Jerry growin' up.

warman707 In reply to Draco276 [2010-03-29 03:08:21 +0000 UTC]

Eh it's funny to hear but horrible to see. I watch a lot of war movies, and I feel for the guy getting run over by a tank...because there's no good way to get run over by a tank. haha

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Draco276 In reply to warman707 [2010-03-29 03:33:23 +0000 UTC]

Yeah...unless you fell in a ditch that the tank goes over, then you only technically got run down by a tank. but I guess that doesn't really count. My dad made us sit down and watch saving private Ryan with him. that movie makes me sad..and kinda want to throw up.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

warman707 In reply to Draco276 [2010-03-29 03:42:06 +0000 UTC]

Yeah unless the tank knew you were there...then all they would do is turn over the hole and bury you alive....hope your not clostrophobic...or how ever it's spelled. haha!

But yeah, I find myself holding back tears while watching war films now.

Draco276 In reply to warman707 [2010-03-29 03:52:43 +0000 UTC]

oooooh,snap...I did not just say oh snap.

I can't cry while watching movies. even if I really want to. I /do/ usually tear up during really sad parts...in just about any kind of movie if its good.

warman707 In reply to Draco276 [2010-03-29 03:55:54 +0000 UTC]

Definitely. especial if you got out of it and back home alive. The psychological effects that could have on you..*shudders*...plus the psychological effects it has on you /while/ you slowly suffocate...'course,I'd take dirt than being under a pile of rotting corpses. good GOD I watch too much useless TV.

hahaha! true. but most of the stuff I watch the kids of my school have never heard of...or think is boring. oh,we played Jeopardy! in my history class on Friday. All questions about WWI...I coulda punched myself for forgetting that a German sub was called a /U-boat/. I also coulda punched the other team for thinking Germany's leader was Adolf Hitler.

I know, right? "what were german submarines called?" " Imma just sit here 'cause I don't remember" "the answer is 'U-boat" " *smiling*...HOLY CRAP,I KNEW THAT! GAAAAH!" oh,and some guy from the National Guard came and talked to us about the technology and whatnot. the first thing he said was "ya'll like history, right?" all the other kids were like "psssh. it sucks." my response? "...there's something wrong with you people" I'm going to feel like such a nerd in the class for a while.

I almost choked at the end of the class. The guy was all " I've served with Germans...They're big, kinda like you'd think. But they're pretty good guys-...They tan on top of their barracks in speedos, but they're good guys" He made a "what the hell." face when he said it,too.
