Not correct actually. Notching on the opposite side is the most used option for archery, and is the only way you'll see it in the movies, but you actually get more speed when you notch the arrow on the same rather than opposite side. And there are plenty of historical accounts on archery where the arrow is armed this way. Check out larsandersen23 on YouTube for more information - he's a world-renowned archer.

She's beautifully rendered. The model of archery used has the arrow on the wrong side of the bow, spoiling the impression of a skilled archer.

Actually the way you've notched the arrow in your rendition is also correct, and as I say in the comment above, there are plenty of historical accounts of the fastest-shooting archers notching their arrows the way you have it here.
