Description
Here is the lesser known machine gun from Germany in WW2, the MG-34.Used during the whole war and was the main machine gun between 1939-1942 when the MG-42 came.
Due to the easy pipe barrel change system on it, it remained the main machine gun for tanks since the MG-42 had a different system which didnt suit the tanks as well as the MG-34 did with limited space.
This one has not the ammo bag connected to it since i took this photo after the show but just use youtube if you want to see one in action in one reenacting show

If I recall right, this thing had a perpendicular grip which was killer to hold for long periods of time.

It's so strange how it was not known, yet just as many had been produced like the MG-42

Well known it is but overshadowed by the MG 42 everyone seems to know about but cant blame them
Well it wasnt used in airplanes, they ahd a different machine gun. With a lavet you could make the MG-34 to an anti aircraft gun but I would had prefered a flak 20 for that
As some reenactors say: MG-34 has a mean look to it

Owch, you will burn your hands if you hold it like that! Most pictures I see of it have the gunner holding it by the folded tripod instead of the barrel... <.<
