This is me at the set of a WWII movie. I'm an extra as a German soldier. This is the MP40 that I got to touch...didn't get to fire it, but none the less it was awesome to hold!Related content

Wrong ammo pouches, Kar98k not MP40 series. Don't worry even the Indiana Jones movies made that mistake. The outfit looks a little big on you, but it still looks cool ;^) Was it itchy?

I look back at this photo in shame. haha! But this was from a movie shoot. I just walked past the screen in one shot. I was also just taking a photo with the MP40. I was issued a K98 for my scene.
And believe it or not, it wasn't as itchy as I thought it would be. With the cotton service shirt, it is perfect.

It's a short film called Frontovichki...or something along those lines. It's a WWII Russian movie mainly. But I was just an extra throughout the whole thing. Both German...but mainly Russian soldiers.

Oh awesome man, My unit was in "Return to the Hiding Place" movie comes out very soon and i think that there are some generic battle scenes that include me, but idk.

If they were my blanks then yes I would have unloaded the thing. haha! But since the guy who was filming the movie bought all the blanks I didn't want to waist unnessesary ammo. So no I didn't. ):

Blank only gun. The inside is like backwards. The firing pin is fixed in the front of the barrel. so if you were to shoot a live round....you would probably end up shooting yourself. haha!

Well there are a lot of parts were we have female Russian snipers, and femal Russian soldiers in general.

Yeah, there weren't many female soldiers in the German military in WWII. It wasn't until the end of the war when they started handing out weapons to everyone who could breath. But the Russians, everyone wanted to fight for Russian...and the military didn't care who fought as long as someone was fighting.

Which is probably one the reasons the Russians won, in my opinion. They did not hold back on the number of soldiers they used when fighting... russians

Yeah, In fighting spirit both countries were equal...well until the end of the war when the Germans morral was low. But the numbers were just too great in Russia. The Germans could only fight for so long.

Which is why I am happy my grandfather fled Germany right before that happened. There was a very low chance he would live.

Wow! Yeah it was a terrible time. One of my friends said his grandma was on a train on the way to a concentration camp before they got liberated by Russian soldiers. I also think he said another one of his relatives was on another train and jumped off and fled the country.
But glad he got away.

I would if the guy wasn't so organized about it. And besides I'm going back frequently to help out with the movie. The guys awesome anyways so I wouldn't do that to him.

Thanks man! Yeah in the 27th of this month I'm going back to help act in a big battle scene between Russians and Germans! I might most likly be on the German side. But it should be cool!
