Description Here is my drawing of the ship Scharnhorst out in the Atlantic.
Scharnhorst & Gneisenau were Germanies first true battleships of WW2 who took part in the operations around Norway, always operating together. They became the first battleships to sink an aircraft carrier which many claimed would be impossible prior to it. They later operated against merchant ships in the Atlantic and made several raids. In 1942 they were ordered to return back to Germany since the High command no longer believed in surface ships could operate in the Atlantic. The brittish thought they would go out to the atlantic and return to Germany by sailing near island but instead they dashed through the English channel.
Once in Germany Gneisenau took a hit and were severely damaged, instead of repairing her they chose to put her on hold even though plans were ready to repair and rearm her with same guns as Bismarck had but it wasnt to be. Now for the first time Scharnhorst were on her own in future operations, she were placed in Norways defence and in 1943 were ordered to attack one convoy and the allieds knew about it and set up a trap.
Scharnhorst went in to attack the convoy but the convoys defence of cruisers and battleships damaged her radar and since this action took place in the night she couldnt anymore see what the allieds were doing but kept on attacking. After she got badly damaged she tried to escape but one unlucky shot made her engine damaged and she could only crawl and were sunk by superior allied numbers, Scharnhorst went down fighting just like Bismarck had done before, this was the last ship to ship action in europe and still is.

My theory is that had Scharnhorst had her sister with her they would had been able to escape once again.

This is my tribute to the two evil twin sisters as I call them.

I used a reference for this one, a photo shows Scharnhorst in this black silhouette with the sea and clouds above.
It can be seen in this video:

Thank you, glad you like it but I think it could been better
Next time I think I shall do a more detailed ship drawing where you can see all small parts and such, most people prefer such drawings.

Not realistic enough for me to use as a reference unless I want it to look like a blueprint, need something like this but much bigger and better resolution:
