Here is my latest tank drawing, decided to do a tribute to one of my fave tank hunters of ww2: The Stug III!Stug IIIE Had a bigger canon with higher velocity for anti tank roles, the earlier models had a small 75 MM gun for infanteri support and didnt suit for anti tank roles.
The Stug wasnt as popular as the main battle tanks but it was the stug which was the most numerous and a very good assault gun tank, better than most think. Later it got the even bigger L48 gun.
In my opinion the Stug III was a small and mean tank and very good one and was a very important tank for Germany.
I made this one while watching: Tanks assault guns, a very good documentary about these types of tanks.

Awesome job...although it was the most numerous, in my opinion the jagdpanther was the best, combining speed with a hard 88 punch!

In one vs one fight then yes it was the best but the Jagdpanthers were harder to produce and wasted more fuel and such and need more maintenance to be working compared to the StuGs and their kill ratio even beats the jagdpanthers in % to the losses. But yes Jagdpanther were the best tank destroyer of WW2 easily in combat terms
You forgot that it has lots of armour alongside speed and the firepower

The Stug was *in my opinion* the best Tank Destroyer of the war. Combined everything one needed; firepower, speed, and armor. Not to mention its short height.

I agree! Dont forget it was easy to produce as well which the other more bigger tanks was far away from.
Stug tanks had more kills than the other tanks and was the most produced tank as well

Yea, people say that the Tiger or T-34 was the best, WRONG AGAIN. It has to be the Stug III.

Especially in the hands of someone like Michael Wittmann, who managed to hold his own against 18 T-34s in a StuG III, and this was an Ausf. A with the tiny-barreled 75mm gun, and destroyed six of them.

my favorite stug was the super stug with the big howitzer gun for bunker busting and building basher.

I think you mean the :StuH version which had a 10,5 cm howitcher instead of the anti tank gun of the stug?

yeah. That thing is fun to play with in a game I play online. One god shot into a bunker or building and you kill everyone inside. I love the thing when I cant drive a Jagdtiger.

Yeah, mean little thing!
In spite of its glorious days it started suffering a lot at Reich agony times when was used as a main battle tank elsewhere.
As for drawing, well not bad, but why not to put some more shades here and there (especially under) and add something on BG. , well itβs just me

Using it in roles it dont fit in isnt a good thing, it is more for hide and shot, defensive warfare

Iam new to tank drawing so havent the shading right yet, and I have no background so hard to do shading and shadows under it, I might in the close future do some more shading on it
Just back from a long paus from drawing so is still training to come to my old shading self

All right! I agree, backgrounds are so tricky to make. I hate them myself but I know they do add some good look so they are worth trying.
