Woohoo made it :3 this ish my rntry for an AJ contest on yutube, first place is a long black spike dey r liek so awesum >v<oh yea some of the colorz were messed up slightly wheb i was editting, the collar looks black but its actually purple ;3; but nyeh i hope chu liek it and good luck to all the other contestants!

Sorry, had to ask first because a lot of people get snarky when I just point things out...
... Anyway, when you take a picture with a camera, and want the emphasis on something, one thing alone is not blurry/ or is in foucus.. your's seems to have 2 major focus points and one minor because the water and character stand out the most, with the lights also kinda-ish standing out. The main reason I see behind that is that you have a fore, middle and background; but your background has a slight lack of depth.
As you look at a long bridge across a canyon, you would expect the furthest point to be the most blurry. If you smack a person in front of said bridge, the camera will focus on the person and not the bridge as much; that way the bridge itself would become blurry and even more so at the furthest point.
The slight depth issue with your background is because it's the same blur intensity at the front as it is in the back. Even if it was to be a macro shot, the depth issue would still apply...
...It also may just be that I am crazy, and without wearing glasses found it very blurry D:
But overall, I love this piece and I think you have a great chance at winning! If you read the whole thing, I'm so sorry for being long winded XD
Apparently, I'm too harsh with my advice (someone apparently took my last one as a hate comment) so if my "advice" is causing problems, I can take it down...

I see, thxx :3 i like advice either way even if its said a bit rudely cuz advice is advice and thas all that matters in mai opinion. I hav tried a few of the things in yur comment it just that im too lazy to do it on all my picz that and i get lazy on the background on a lotta stuff. The actual character would hav a lotta detail and effort but then comes the background thats all lazy XD i would reply sooner but my mom was evil so i just typed this on my phone while in the car :3
