Even when packed with tourists, there's a great deal of tranquility here. It's a fantastic place to visit, though. There's more than the pavilion, though. There's a large garden, ponds, a tea room, and several temple halls.

I was ultra-nervous it would rain that day. It rained twice the week leading up to this day. It was very overcast, and totally humid (bad decision to wear a collared shirt and lug a backpack around). The weather made for some dramatic shots, though.

I just learned the USA beat England that day in FIFA and that Japan beat Cameroon. I was celebratin'. I guess it was a good thing I wore my 'hissho' hachimaki, wasn't it?
(hissho means 'certain victory')
