Description WarTech Arms ExoSuit Assault Pistol Mk.VII “Grendel-X”.

Gun body is made mainly from titan coated bakelite. Some body parts and all internal mechanics – from depleted Crystallite-based materials. Gun handle is made from rugged fiber-based polymers.
Grendel chambers devastating 0.6 (15.24mm) caseless round with Crystallite explosives. Gun uses HE²-C or Armor Piercing bullets. AP rounds have additional liquid Crystallite payload, giving them additional speed during flight (semi rocket-type bullets, developed from Gyrojet munitions). All rounds have about 700 m/s muzzle velocity (AP bullets – continuous during 50m flight). HE²-C bullet can penetrate all personal bulletproof vests, Light-class ES armor (except dynamic “armadillo” armor) and seriously cripple M-class ES.

Grendel is gas/recoil operated pistol with dynamic self-balancing recoil reduction system, allowing it to gain firing speed up to 5 rounds per second. Full-auto mode is only available if pistol is mounted directly on ES SMIS (Surface Mount Interface System). It can be used by right- or left-handed persons (all fire control triggers are mirrored, chamber extraction goes upwards).

Weight: 2740g loaded
Ammo: GCA 0.6 14+1 (24+1) HE²-C / AP
Muzzle velocity: 700m/s
Use: H-class and M-class ES
Effective fire range: up to 100m with EBCS

Grendel was developed as a sidearm and a “last chance weapon” for Heavy - and Medium – class ES during WarLord armament development program. Its’ caliber is enough for self-defense as well as close assault, allowing to use excessive firepower against most personal defense measures. Due to handgun’s recoil and weight it cannot be easily used without ES (L-class ES with additional power application mode). Also, it can be mounted directly onto SMIS and fed from snail-type 50 round mag.
First Grendel production was back in 2024. 3 years of finalization and modification resulted in Mk.VII. Pistol is used mostly with mercenary groups and special law enforcements because of its’ pretty high cost.
Grendel is fully compatible with EBCS and so has no sights (Guttersnipe-type backup rails).
Mk.VII “X” was made especially for XSWAT and has an additional under barrel BattleTacSys active chip for precision ballistic control.

Grendel is also known as "Furious tiger" because of its' roaring firing sound and results of anti-personnel use (bullets literally tear off limbs or lumps of flesh).

15.24mm? That's a hell of a bullet! And the recoil must be brutal without the RRS. O_O

I thought Bakelite went obsolete in the 60's....

I use this word for a group of materials with similar structure.

Aright. Just so you know, Bakelite is actually a brand name, not a chemical name.

I know it - wikipedia gives enough information about it.
But thank you for your remark!

It looks sort of cool, but it also looks like something you'd see in the toy section at Walgreens.
