Alrighty. I know that gyrfalcons are an arctic species, and would never be seen in red, desert-type canyons. But the image popped into my head and I just had to paint it! So here I present an alternate universe where gyrfalcons survey their territory somewhere in the arid southwest.

Actually if you Google Gyrfalcon they have color variations that depends on the environment they live in. Kinda cool.

I'ts a good thing they don't have many predators as their coloring puts them at a disadvantage, that's the problem with specialized camo.
