Started to do this one yesterday... I'm going so slow I'm starting to lose my patience as well... XDIt's not going to be a gray scale thing forever, ok?
It's just because working in gray scale is a lot easier to me
But I still have no idea how to put color on it...
Hope it will turn out right at least XD
I wish I could do Livestream while doing it but my computer always crashes when I try...

What photoshop brush did you use for the hair? I can't seem to find one that will 'pressure' well enough...

Can try using Hue/Saturation if you have each of the areas (skin/hair/eyes) on different layers and play around if it until it's where you like it.

Merge your layers, then set the single layer to multiply. It will basically allow your whites to be transparent and your blacks to be solid. Anything in between will have different layers of transparency. Your colored layers will need to go below the layer that is set to multiply. I use this method to color sketches after they've been scanned it. Good luck! It looks great!

have you tried using [link] to cast a Live stream. My computer only has 1 gig of ram so i can't run my paint program AND procaster or anything, but I heard about Join.me so i tried it. No lag issues, or crashes from any of my programs. You don't even need an account to use it. Very nifty...

To add color maybe try setting the brush to color and go over the gray are you want with the color you need it to be?

Maybe just get a pastel of some sort and set it to Dodge and Burn, and then go over certain parts. Dodge and Burn makes everything cool.

Frankly, I think the grayscale looks gorgeous. If you feel it needs color, maybe just try a sepia overlay?
Whatever you choose to do, it's not going to change the fact that his face looks amazing o_o

I wish you could livestream. I've wanted to start painterly like, and I don't want to spam you with questions that may be hard to explain.
That way I could watch you, and try it and make my own little style because I don't want to copy you. I'm trying to find something that works for me, but... there aren't very good tutorials that I can find.

about livestream: it kills my comp too. I switched to join.me it doesnt kill my comp that much. expect some lag anyways though.
