I'm sick.
If I'm sick, I feel motivated to draw the whole fucking day. No breaks whatsoever. So it's 36 hours since my last upload. SO WHAT?!
… I'm going to continue drawing after this, I swear this is worse than crack.
Oh, and… yes, this is more or less Arc One's Finale. C: The next part is more of an epilogue…

waahhh i'm afraid if i don't comment here i'll forget later - i'm reading through it now - this is just such a good comic ;__; i love nuzlockes so much but when i first started reading and they were talking about how pokemon aren't people they're tools i was like NO THAT'S NOT HOW IT WORKS ... and then i /got/ it, it's like what if the whole pokemon world were dog fighters??? IT EXPLAINS EVERYTHING. it's so brilliant and such a backasswards world - so fascinating and brings such depth to characters that wasn't there before, like cilan, who is so calm and pristine and collected but loves pitting pokemon to death. I JUST WANT TO KNOW MORE ABOUT THOSE BROTHERS HAHA they're like leo dicaprio's character from django unchained. *u*
i love seeing the hypocrisy in the main characters as they talk - when they believe what they're doing is wrong, but when they're confronted with it from another person and they say no, it's not wrong! because they can't accept what they're doing. it's so real. every character is so real. i love how you show so much of the side characters, they're not just bit players, they have depth to them, real emotion and motivations. and as always with b/w comics, i love n ;n; such a baby, gosh.
the only critique i can suggest is giving a bit more depth to white's pokemon - which i admit is hard with the story, but it's still hard to connect to them and mourn their death when we don't see them very often. pitchie was the one we saw most and it was a sad death, but it still didn't show much personality. maybe make them do things in the background where white doesn't notice. (this could change in future chapters i just wanted to make sure i commented before forgetting ;n

Reading this really wants me to do my own Nuzlocke run....But I can't draw to save my grade (Got a F in art) and my artist for my Smash Bros series HATES pokemon...man reading all these Nuzlockes really makes me hate not having any drawing talents

Also, no. N wanted crazy things. "Seperate humans and Pokémon in order to make Pokemon perfect beings" and "Different opinions mix together and the world becomes grey… that is unacceptable! The world should be clearly black and white" (paraphrased) don't count to me as something rational or good at all. :I Of course, you gotta take it in context, and B/W just lacks sense in general… *cough cough*

I dunno. N was obviously misguided (being raised by Ghetsis will do that to you), but I have to agree that he has a good point about...well, pretty much everything in the Pokémon universe that this comic is emphasizing (and then making even darker). In this series, so far he seems like the *least* unpleasant of a group of very flawed and grim people. I swear, this whole comic is like Pokémon!Watchmen.
Which is very much not a criticism.

Well, I was going to draw up my own BW Nuzlocke run and found this comic while I was reading about them. I think that, considering how inferior it would be in both art and character development to this one, I might just leave it. I'd probably just be disappointed with mine otherwise.
Awesome job so far, I always wanted to see a "Pokemon - reality version" sort of thing even before I heard of Nuzlocke runs. I'll definitely be keeping an eye on this.

i know this may seem a bit off topic but... how do they control the whole "To Death" and "to win" battles? I mean, moves that involve sharp things like 'shell swords,' do they still cause bleeding, even in "to win"? Is there an option on the pokeball that sets it to "to win" or "to death"? Are trainers only allowed to use certain moves?
back on topic... damn. For some reason I keep on having the thought that the mother didn't exactly know what White meant. "Difficult" probably wasn't the best choice of words. Great comic so far, and I can't wait for the next Arc.

No, Pokéballs don't determine that. The trainers do. And yes, anything that can be cured by quick heals is allowed - which is a lot, really.

By moves, I meant are they only able to make their pokemon use only certain moves, like moves that don't cut them. For example, Bianca faced lenora, she sliced a dog's head off. What if the trainer wanted to use that move in to win?

lol well to be fair if i remember correctly she has been ignoring her moms calls. Then she calls in the middle of the night to complain, I might be mad too. wow a whole year deal, my parents would never let me do that even if this was the pokemon world. They'd probably tell me to be back in one or two weeks whether im done or not. White enjoy your freedom while it lasts! Of course all the pokemon dieing sucks though.

um.. I guess I mean that you don't skimp on giving them negative qualities. Nuzlockes are normally so two-dimensional and the characteristics are so basic. But every character in your universe has good things and bad things, there's not a single person who's angelic. You've provided so many aspects for us to consider the motives of your characters, rather than just sugarcoating their personalities into essentially sweet, innocent beings and the reader just has to believe the author.

You know what I noticed? In your story is a lot of pages when even one Pokemon (even in background) do not appear. That's good, because this show that you focus not only on the same journey and battles. You dedicate a lot of place to develop a characters personality. It is very good.
BTW, in panel when White throw her cellphone, you drew her hand wrong.
