Okay! This is a birthday picture for my adorable little sister, who is turning eleven on the sixth of this month! She is getting so big and becoming so beautiful it's freakin' me out. Anyway, we love watching old cartoons together, and I try to make a point to hunt out some of the good ones I watched as a kid and enjoy them with her. We're finishing up Digimon Tamers, and she loves Renamon, so this thing was born. ^__^ I won't be there on her actual birthday, but she can at least get something from me on that day!I used Lileya's ([link] ) cherry blossom brushes, and KP-Shadow Squirrel's amazing model of Renamon for reference ([link] ). Check out their stuff, they are great!

Love this! Using reference definitely helps. You nailed the lighting; such a cool scene! Great pose and colors on Renamon. I like the water and the ripples. Your linework and coloring is looking much cleaner. Great improvement Ash, you're getting better and better every submission and it really shows.
My only critique is that this is looking really busy, with all of the petals around Renamon, and all of the various circles throughout the sky. Less is more, and it would definitely help focus on Renamon better - besides, she is the most interesting part of the piece, she should really stand out!
