those kind of fish are actually artificially colored. Like they were dyed. So, it fade with time.

google it Bettas are bright colored by... nature? Well, they ARE shiny. But still, like a already shiny car, it is still possible to polish it.

Those are other fish that are dyed, bettas are modified with breeing, not usually color dye.

They do change color as they age. Lucius has a LOT more blue on him now than in the photos I showed you.

But it's only been a few weeks, so I'm thinking its stress because of the ammonia problem or just a different water environment...
