Description Concept art for a project I'm working on. It's a little darker than what I've done before, the premise is about a tribe that sacrifice Giants in order to keep  balance in nature, but one adopted tribe girl has extreme guilt over all the killings her tribe committed towards beings that keep their distance.

This concept piece is from a bad dream she has: A skeleton of a giant holds her as she cries and repents for her tribes crimes.

Dude that sounds sick from what you're describing. I can't wait to see where it goes from here. One flaw I could see being a problem in the story is why do the giants which are so much bigger and stronger than humans let themselves be sacrificed. But I bet you'll find a creative way to explain that in the story. Good luck with the project!

Omg thank you! Aside from 2 other pieces of concept comics that I'm working on, this one I'm most excited to get started on, but since I only have a concept it'll definitely need to be fleshed out before drawing. I appreciate your comment on the flaw and I have thought about how to make it work (but again, only in concept).

I'm basing this story off of Aztec and Mayan culture and how they lived. The tiny people being "Aztecs": ruthless warriors who took sacrifices to appease their gods while focusing on war. And the Giants being "Mayans": Advanced in sciences and focused on creating rather than destroying. They can defend themselves, but they are more of a pacifist tribe. And they do give blood to their god as "sacrifice", but their methods are less to keep balance as it is to thank or give life to their creator.

And who is to say that there aren't Giants who are willing to kill the smaller people (not out of self-defense but for something else...)

Well count me in for the support when you eventually do something with it! I really like the concept. I also want to do some serious comics in the future but since I know very little about the process of creating one, I'm sticking with my dumb sharks to learn the basics xD
And I really like the idea of basing your tribes off of historical cultures, that sounds really cool
